Margaret Bostian Dies Wednesday; Services Friday
Mrs. Samuel (Margaret) Bostian, 55, of 214 W. 9th St. S., a longtime resident of Newton, died Wednesday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. James Conger, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today.
Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Delories) Ewing of Polk City, Mrs. Ray (Dixie) Jaenette of Des Moines and Mrs. Neil (Debra) Huffaker of Baxter; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Max (Helen) Townsend of State Center and Mrs. Robert (Leota) Elliott of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a cousin, Mrs. Esther Gearhart of Newton, by whom she was raised.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Mrs. Bostian was a member of the First Baptist Church and had worked at Easters Bakery for a number of years.
The daughter of Everett and Florence Hatcher Samuels, she was born May 14, 1920 at Newton and was graduated from Newton community High School.
She was married to Samuel Bostian May 11, 1952 in Minnesota
