Daisy E. Soutter Rites Are Friday; At Prairie City
Prairie City – Mrs. William (Daisy Etta) Soutter, 87, a former longtime resident of the Mitchellville are, died Tuesday at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.
The Rev. Oren Reger, pastor of the Prairie City United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Mitchellville Cemetery.
Mrs. Soutter had resided since 1970 in Clear View Manor in Prairie City.
Survivors are three sons, C. W. Soutter of Mitchellville and John J. and Paul Soutter, both of Des Moines, a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Mitchell of Des Moines; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and five brothers.
The daughter of Joseph and Elvira Beason Lasell, she was born Dec. 13, 1888 at Maxwell.
She was married Nov. 15, 1905 in Des Moines.
