Mrs. Princehouse Dies Monday; Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Purly L. (Matilda “Tillie”) Princehouse, 82, of 422 N. 3rd Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1938, died Monday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Gregory Caldwell, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
Survivors are a stepson, Garland Princehouse of Fullerton, Calif., and a number of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Princehouse was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Golden Agers and Little Rose of Sharon Club.
The daughter of William and Eliza Huxsol, she was born Feb. 27, 1893 in Charles City.
