Dorothy Larson Dies Wednesday; Rites Saturday
Mrs. Anton (Dorothy F.) Larson, 80, of 1029 E. 9th St. N., a resident of Newton since 1927, died Wednesday evening at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Foursquare Church.
The Rev. Ellis Ryherd, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Ellen Deere, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today.
Survivors are her husband; six sons, Chester Gage of Alton, Ill., Richard Gage of Norwalk, Calif., Howard Gage of Victoria, Calif., Charles Larson of Torrence, Calif., Robert Larson of Burbank, Calif., and Larry Larson of Lawndale, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Louise) Anderson of St. Charles, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Larson was a member of the Foursquare Church and the Golden Age Club.
The daughter of Albert and Rosetta Dates Dunning, she was born May 5, 1895 in Wells, Minn.
She was married Sept. 10, 1927 in Newton.
