Alice V. Huigen Dies Thursday; Services Monday
Reasnor-Monroe – Mrs. Dirk C. “Dick” (Alice V.) Huigen, 96, a former resident of Reasnor and Monroe, died Thursday at the Embassy Manor Care Center in Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Jerry Wolcott, pastor of the Monroe United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Hewitt Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors are nephews and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Cornie J. Huigen of Monroe and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Huigen of Fort Morgan, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 28, 1955 and parents.
The daughter of Francis H. and Mary Knous Butin, she was born Nov. 27, 1879 near Reasnor.
She was married Dec. 20, 1916 near Reasnor.
Mrs. Huigen was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church.
