Raymond Busby Dies Wednesday; Rites Saturday
Raymond Busby, 74, of 111 N. 8th Ave. W. died Wednesday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Steffey Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial will be in the Union Mills Cemetery, south of Montezuma.
Survivors are a son, Louis Busby of Riverside; two stepchildren, Larry King of Kellogg and Lois Rock of Durango, Colo.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Frank Busby of Lakewood, Calif.; and two sisters, Grace Cox of Montezuma and Maude Kolhauge of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, two sisters and a brother.
Mr. Busby, a member of the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League in Newton, was retired from the Plating department at the Maytag Co. after 42 years.
The son of Louis and Mary Miller Busby, he was born Dec. 8, 1901 in Mahaska County.
