Anna L. Bailey Dies Friday; Services Today
Graveside rites for Mrs. R. H. (Anna L.) Bailey, 93, of Embassy Manor Nursing Home were held today at the Newton Union Cemetery.
The Rev. Phillip R. Friedeman, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ, conducted services.
Toland-Wallace Funeral Home handled arrangements.
She died Friday evening at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Survivors are a brother, Henry Sauerman of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Nell Boatwright of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three nephews, Max, Robert and Charles Sauerman, all of Des Moines; and two nieces, Mrs. Margie Katzman of Des Moines and Mrs. Zoe Gigoux of Lawton, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Claude.
Mrs. Bailey was a former member of the Newton Congregational United Church of Christ.
The daughter of Charles F. and Mary E. Agar Sauerman, she was born Aug. 8, 1882 in Stockton.
