Nellie Vroom Dies Friday; Rites Tuesday
Prairie City – Nellie Mildred Vroom, 84, of Clear View Manor in Prairie City, a lifelong resident of Prairie City, died Friday at the Manor.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.
The Rev. Oren Reger, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Prairie City, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Survivors are three nieces, Mrs. Richard Vande Lune and Mrs. Leo Brubaker, both of Prairie City, and Mrs. Wilbur Hutchinson of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and a nephew, Clifford L. Vroom of Pella.
Miss Vroom was a member of the United Methodist Church in Prairie City.
The daughter of James and Martha Warner Vroom, she was born Oct. 7, 1892 in Prairie City.
