Raymond Vriezelaar Dies Sunday; Rites Are Set on Tuesday
Raymond Vriezelaar, 59, of 423 E. 5th St. S., a resident of Newton since 1947, died early Sunday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Gerald Erffmeyer, pastor of the Christian Reformed Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 9 a.m. today.
Survivors are his wife, Viola J.; three sons, Larry R. of Kellogg, Roger J. of Des Moines and Terry A. of Newton; a daughter, Linda B. Venenga of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mattie Vriezelaar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and James.
Mr. Vriezelaar, a member of the Moose Lodge and the UAW, Local 997, was an assistant supervisor at the Vernon Co.
The son of Gradus J. and Artie Hulleman Vriezelaar, he was born May 28, 1916 at Otley.
He was married to Viola J. Koopman Mar. 16, 1938 at Otley.
