David Rogers Dies Thursday; Rites Saturday
Baxter – David Rogers, 47, a resident of Baxter since 1967, died Thursday at his home.
Graveside rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ashton Cemetery.
The Rev. Bob Hinshaw, pastor of the Ashton Church, will conduct services.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Survivors are his wife, Opal; two sons, Randy Lee and Ronnie Lee, both of Baxter; a sister, Dorothy Jean Congelesie; and three brothers, Clifford, Donald and Arthur, all of Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Rogers was a retired Maytag Co. employe.
The son of Arthur Edward and Hazzal Johnson Rogers, he was born July 6, 1929 in Des Moines and attended Des Moines and Baton Rouge, La., schools.
He was married to Opal Marie Clark Dec. 31, 1951 in Des Moines.
