Former County Resident Dies; Rites Tuesday
Mrs. John Antonie (Jannetje “Jennie”) Van Engelenburg, 86, of Pella, a former resident of the Newton and Monroe communities, died Sunday at the Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pella Garden Chapel.
The Rev. Richard A. De Jong of Pella will conduct services. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Pella Garden Chapel is handling arrangements.
Survivors are a son, John of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Marion (Pattie) Hulleman of Monroe, Helen Van Engelenburg of Pella and Mrs. Calvin (Evelina) Meester of Pella; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1943; a daughter in infancy; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mrs. Van Engelenburg was a member of the First Reformed Church of Pella.
Born Jannetje Rooseboom she was born April 29, 1890 in Gelderland, The Netherlands.
