Deryl K. Young, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Deryl K. Young of 600 S. State St., Bellingham, Wash., a former resident of Newton, died recently in Bellingham.
Survivors are his wife, Mabel; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Mary) Evans of Bellingham, Wash.; two grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Young of Newton; and two sisters, Mrs. Darline Davidson of Newburgh, N.Y., and Mrs. Alyce Stansberry of Okoboji.
Mr. Young, a former employe of the Automatic Washer Co. in Newton, had been employed by the Georgia Pacific Co. in Bellingham for many years.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Young, he was born Nov. 14, 1905 at Grand Junction, was educated in Spirit Lake and Newton schools, was a 1926 graduate of Newton Community High School and was graduated from the University of Washington at Seattle, Wash.
Memorial contributions to the Cancer Society will be accepted.
