Rites Held for Former Resident
Funeral services for a former Newton resident, Mrs. Al (Phyllis Jeane) Wilson, 50, who died at her home in Cedar Rapids Sunday, were held today in Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Wilson, the former Phyllis Jeane Richmond, was a 1944 graduate of Newton Community High School and resided in Newton until her marriage to Al Wilson in Lovilia in May, 1949.
Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Kurt; a daughter, Mrs. Rhonda McDonald, and a granddaughter, Stacy McDonald, all of Cedar Rapids and her mother, Myrtle Trevitt of Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin, and her father, Boyd Richmond.
She was born in Iowa City in May, 1925, but spent her childhood in Newton.
