Delia A. Brady Dies Saturday; Rites Tuesday
Mrs. James T. (Delia Ann) Brady, 90, of Embassy Manor Care Center, a lifelong resident of Jasper County died Saturday afternoon at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Gregory Caldwell, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Leon Brady of Newton; a son-in-law, Everett Atwood of Newton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Denver W. Rice of Gardenia, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband April 11, 1958, and a daughter, Ruth Atwood Feb. 13, 1970.
Mrs. Brady was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Pythian Sisters.
The daughter of Preston R. and Vena Parmerly Rice, she was born July 2, 1886 in Jasper County.
She was married to James T. Brady Dec. 14, 1910 at Des Moines.
