Rites for Tom R. Jones Held Today
Funeral services for Tom R. Jones, manager of the Maytag Co. supply department, were held this afternoon at the Morgan Funeral Home in Newton. Mr. Jones died Sunday.
Rev. Fred D. Boldt, pastor of the First Lutheran church, and Rev. Clarence V. Jones, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. Members of the Newton Masonic lodge conducted graveside Masonic rites at the Newton Union cemetery.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Don Lane, Mrs. William Riebe and Ruth Jackson, Mrs. Lois Stanton was organist.
Pall bearers were Dr. Cleo Nichols, Herb Mears, Harold Forsyth, Glen Spiker, Dick Kennedy and R. S. Trevethan. Serving on the flower committee were Mrs. Cleo Nichols, Mrs. herb Mears and Mrs. Dick Kennedy.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Irene; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Jones, three brothers and three sisters.
