Mae Altes, 83, Former Mingo Resident, Dies
Mrs. George (Mae) Altes, 83, a former longtime resident of Mingo, died Tuesday Sept. 10th at the Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13th at the Assembly of God Church in Knoxville.
Burial was in the Graham Cemetery near Mingo.
Survivors are four sons, Royal of Chillicothe, Mo., Ronald of rural Collins, Wendell of Runnells and Garold of rural Knoxville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ira Sargent of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and a sister.
The daughter of Charles F. and Lucy D. Miller Hall, she was born May 25, 1891 in Valeria.
