August 15, 1930 ~ February 20, 2022 (age 91)

Dorothy Louise (Nolin) Marlowe Lindsey, 91, of Newton died on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Newton Health Care Center. No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation. In lieu of flowers, you may send memorials to your local no kill animal shelter or plant a tree in her honor.

Louise, the daughter of George Washington and Maude Delia (Garrett Reames Callison) Nolin, was born on August 15, 1930 in Monroe. As a young girl, her family moved to Newton where Louise would live the rest of her life. In the 1950’s, Louise worked at Winpower. She would later be a homemaker. Louise loved her family, animals, and the Lord.

Louise is survived by her son, Micheal Marlowe of Knoxville; daughter, Pamela Marlowe (Shannon Thill) of Ankeny; and her beloved nephew and nieces, James Mitchell, Sheila Mitchell-Spray, and Donita Franco. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Marlowe-Owens; grandson, Christopher Owens; sister, Jeleane Nolin Mitchell Hearl; and half-siblings, Juanita Reames Mortenson, Mildred Nolin Breckenridge, Ralph Reames, Amos Reames, Oscar Callison, and Donald Callison.
