H. D. Wadsworth Dies at Colfax
H. D. Wadsworth, 57, well known Colfax farmer, died at 2:20 a.m. today at his farm home three miles north of Colfax.
Survivors are his wife, Lilas; two sons, Perry of Newton and Paul of Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Randal (Mary) Toye, of Newton, Mrs. Leonard (Joyce) Pierce of Colfax, and Mrs. Furley (Doris) Nichol of Newton.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Williams, Moravia, Mrs. Laura Taylor, Grand River, Iowa; Mrs. Maude Plumber, Newton, and Mrs. Pearl Boyer, Newton; and his mother, Mrs. Mary Wadsworth, Newton.
Bumgardner Funeral home at Colfax is in charge of arrangements which are pending.

Colfax – Funeral services for H. D. Wadsworth, 57, Colfax area farmer, will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church in Colfax conducted by the Rev. Bernard Waage of the Baptist church.
Burial will be in McKeever cemetery.
Mr. Wadsworth died at his home early Wednesday morning. He was born in Grand River, Iowa, on Jan. 2, 1898, and later moved to Moravia.
He married the former Lilas Brown on May 1, 1930. Mr. Wadsworth operated a farm near Colfax for about 25 years until the time of his death.
