David H. Berry of Baxter Dies Friday
Baxter (Special) – Funeral services for David Hoyt Berry, 67, who died Friday afternoon at the Evangelical hospital in Marshalltown, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter.
The Rev. Harry E. Boughey, pastor of the Baxter Congregational church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Union Chapel cemetery at Mingo.
Mr. Berry is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel Wiley of near Collins, eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and sisters and parents.
The son of Albert and Delilah Perry, he was born Oct. 20, 1890 at Clyde.
He moved from Clyde to a farm near Baxter with his parents in 1901. He was married March 3, 1914 at Waterloo to Viva Trusler, who died in 1936.
A livestock dealer, Mr. Berry resided in the Baxter area the majority of his life.
