Funeral services for John Robert Jeffries who died at a local hospital will be held at the Congregational church at Reynolds (sic), Ia., Saturday at 1:30 p.m. For further information call Hamilton Powers funeral home.

John Jeffries Dies
John Jeffries died at the Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines on Tues. afternoon, February 16th. The funeral was held from the Runnells Congregational Church last Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Jeffries made his home for a good many years on his farm near Adelphi. He was the oldest son of James Jeffries who was a pioneer farmer south of Prairie City. He was known best in this community, by the older ones, as the nephew of the late Hon. Salem Jeffries, of the Union Chapel neighborhood.
Those attending the Union Chapel reunion last fall will recall what a pleasure and delight Mr. Jeffries derived from playing the organ and singing in the old church and awakening such a flood of memories as only such associations can.
