Mitchellville – William K. Meister, 38, of Mitchellville, a longtime resident of the Mitchellville area, died Saturday, Aug. 20, in a one-vehicle accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday at the Centennial United Methodist Church in Ivy.
The Rev. Mark Weston, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after noon Tuesday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors are two sons, Brad and Brian, both of Ankeny; a sister, Margaret (Mrs. Ned) Stout of Mitchellville; and his father and stepmother, William and Juanita Meister, of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Mr. Meister, a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, was employed at Larry Fleck Trucking in Pleasant Hill.
The son of William J. and Grace Bowers Meister, he was born Feb. 9, 1950 in Des Moines.
