Richard Miller Rites at Colfax
Services for Richard Lynn Miller, 24, of 900 Eighth St., West Des Moines, will be at 2 pm. Tuesday at the Walters Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery near Prairie City.
Mr. Miller, who was a telegrapher for the Rock Island Railroad in West Des Moines, was killed late Friday or early Saturday when the car he was driving ran off Iowa Highway 14 north of Knoxville and tumbled into a ravine.
Surviving are his wife; Linda, a daughter, Tamara, and a son, Charles; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Miller of Des Moines; a brother, William of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Nolin and Mrs. Diane Huetter of Monroe, and a grandfather, Josiah Miller of Prairie City.
