Birdie Gail Harris, 73, met the Lord on September 27, 2011. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, September 30 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Vandalia Cemetery.
Birdie was born on September 8, 1938 in Des Moines, the daughter of Gail and Alberta Anderson. In 1955 she was united in marriage to Jerald Harris. Early years residing in Florida with the last 42 years in the Des Moines area. Birdie was a homemaker and loved entertaining and feeding all who came through her door. GG will be deeply missed.
Birdie is survived by her mother, Alberta Hartley; daughter, Brenda (Dave) Roberts; two grandchildren, Danielle (Josh) VanRiper and Tyler Brown; great- grandson, Skyler VanRiper; siblings, Robert (Eileen) Anderson, Connie Edris, Mary (Paul) Bickel, Gail (Sherry) Anderson, Jr. and all their family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry and her father, Gail Anderson, Sr.
