Mitchellville News – Services for Kyle L. Hargis, 63, of Mitchellville, who died at his home Nov. 12 of a heart attack, were held last week at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Burial was at Vandalia cemetery in Prairie City.
Born in Hooker, Okla., Mr. Hargis farmed near Mitchellville nine years, moving there from Ankeny. E was a member of the United Brethren church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Mrs. Davis Crandall of Aberdeen, Wash., and Mrs. Phyllis Vanderflught of Ankeny; one son, Kenneth of Mitchellville; one brother, Ivan of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Ena Bailey of Hanna City, Ill., and Mrs. Marceile Jividen of Decatur, Ill., and eight grandchildren.
