Kenneth Hargis, 56, of Mitchellville, died of a respiratory disorder May 19, 1997 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services were held May 22 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial in Vandalia Cemetery near Runnells.
Mr. Hargis, born in Ankeny, had lived in Mitchellville 26 years. He was a driver for ADM?? Trucking Co. for 17 years and also worked for Massey-Ferguson for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jinnie; three sons, Kenneth Hargis Jr. of Des Moines and Kevin and Kyle 11, both of Mitchellville; two sisters, Doris Crandall of Aberdeen, Wash., and Phyllis Vander Flught of St. Charles; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vandalia Cemetery Association or Cloud 9 EMT Service.
