Roy C. Gulling, 85, of Parkridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill died of a stroke there Friday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle, with burial at Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia.
Mr. Gulling was born in Vandalia and had lived in Altoona and Runnells before moving to Pleasant Hill in 1997. He had been a farmer and most recently worked for Polk County Secondary Roads.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Calhoun of Runnells and Karen Warren of Des Moines; a brother, Harlan of Altoona; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
