Runnells News – John Fleming, who was buried in the Vandalia Cemetery in 1869, was a veteran of the War of 1812. Lester Fleming, Barbara Dawson, Ellen Sulser, Jim Frist and Bob Hershey are descendants. His wife, Martha Stewart Fleming, was a daughter of the Revolutionary War soldier Thomas Stewart.
