Life Story of Timmy Elam
Timmy Lee Elam, 14, of Monroe, and eighth grader at New Monroe Community Junior High School, died Sunday at Blank Memorial Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Monroe First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Eldon Pals, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Raymond Elam of Monroe; his grandmother, Mary Stimpson of Prairie City; three sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Diane) Fry of Montezuma, and Glenda Elam and Virginia Elam, both of Monroe, and two brothers, Charles Elam and Raymond Elam, Jr. both of Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.
The son of Raymond Earl and Mary Jane Elam, he was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Unionville, Mo.
