Clifford C. Duckstein, age 88 of Prairie City, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 18, 2012, at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial followed at Vandalia Cemetery.

The son of William F. and Dawn (Quigley) Duckstein, Cliff was born on August 7, 1923 in Newton. Cliff served in the United States Navy during WWII. On August 23, 1980, he was united in marriage to Roberta Fern Ditto. Cliff worked at Des Moines General Hospital until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the Vandalia Church of Christ, Aging Resources of Central Iowa Board member, and a lifelong member of the NRA.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta “Bobbi”, in Prairie City; two sons, Galen (Gwen) Duckstein of Prairie City and Dwight L. (Beth) Duckstein of Maquoketa; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three sisters, Helen Wilson of Prairie City, Melda (Marvin) Ingle of Vandalia, and Dorothy (Dale) Van Maanen also of Vandalia.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his first wife Hazel in 1976.
