Services for Mrs. Vernice E. Watts, 69, of 1330 Hutton St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial in Vandalia Cemetery at Vandalia.
Mrs. Watts died of an apparent heart attack Monday at her home.
She was born in Jasper County and had lived in Des Moines since 1929. She was a member of the West Madison Congregation of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Leonard of Battle Creek, Mich.; a brother, Ross Erskin of Des Moines, and two grandchildren.
