Frances Wallace Is Dead at 81
Mrs. Frances Wallace, 81, of the El Reposo Convalescent home, 121 Pleasant St., died Tuesday at the home. She had been ill since September.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hamilton funeral home, with burial in the cemetery at Vandalia.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Jasper county, and had been a Des Moines resident since 1912. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Laura Long of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Grace Breese of Runnells and Mrs. Gertrude Davis and Mrs. Edith Elliott, both of Des Moines; two sons, Ralph and Fred, both of De Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Dottie McCoy of Indianola and Mrs. Stella Conley of Burke, S.D.; two brothers, Richard Bowers of Swan and Fred Bowers of Altoona; 27 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
