Mrs. Mary Connett, wife of James Connett, living near the Des Moines river, was missing from home for some days. Last Friday her body was found in the river. It is supposed she committed suicide.

The funeral sermon of Mrs. Mary Connett, who committed suicide drowning herself in the Des Moines river a few weeks ago, will be preached by Elder Dawson in the Baptist church in Vandalia at 11 o’clock a.m. next Sabbath.
