Charles Gulling, 61, of Colfax died Sunday morning, March 4, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Survivors are five step-children, Rena Gulling of Knoxville, Nancy Ray of Las Vegas, Nev., Calvin Gates of Nebraska and Clinton and Carl Gates, both of Las Vegas.
Also surviving are five brothers, Orville of Olympia, Wash., Floyd of Houston, Tex., Edward of Knoxville, Donald of Kirksville, Mo., and Gerald of Colfax; and five sisters, Grace Lankford of Williamsen, Ruby Clair of Des Moines, Mae Williams of Colfax, Mary Wardwell of Shelton, Wash, and Frances Broughton of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruth Gates, a brother and two sisters.
The son of Frank and Edith Simbro Gulling, he was born Dec. 9, 1922 in Red Rock.
