Runnells – George Leslie Williams, 95, a longtime Runnells area resident, died Saturday, Feb. 3, at New Oaks Care Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.
The Rev. James Holmes, pastor of the Des Moines First Baptist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors are a son, Walter L. of Runnells; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was born Oct. 4, 1894 in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to the Runnells area in 1925.
He farmed for many years in the Runnells area.
