Runnells - Kathryn Elizabeth Van Engelenburg, 76, of Runnells, died Saturday, Feb 21, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Vandalia Cemetery with the Rev. Patricia Ryan, pastor of the Runnells Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today after noon at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials to the Runnells Christian Church will be accepted.
The daughter of Arie and Nellie Breen Vander Werff, she was born June 13, 1921, in Jasper County.
She married Gysbert Van Engelenburg Jan. 1, 1942 at her parent’s home.
A longtime resient of Runnells, she farmed with her husband. Mrs. Van Engelenburg was a member of the Runnells Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Vicki of Sumner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Michael Potter and Betty and Ralph Busby, all of Runnells; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur Vander Werff of Pella.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
