Garrison W. Lamb, 84, of 2758 Indianapolis Ave., died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Lamb was born in Vandalia and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as an inspector and machinist at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co.
Among survivors are his wife, Meda; three daughters, Gloria McMaster of Las Vegas, Nev., Sharon Dahleen of Johnston and Linda Lamb of Des Moines; three sons, Rodney, Charles and Alan, all of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Variety Club of Iowa.
