Ernest L. “Dick” Gulling, 95, of Belvidere, Ill., died of a heart ailment there Thursday. Graveside services will be at noon Monday at Vandalia Cemetery near Runnells.
Mr. Gulling was born in Runnells and had lived there many years before moving to Illinois. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter, Irene McFaul of Des Moines; three sons, Ivan of Belvidere, Donald of Kansas City, Mo.; and Lloyd Jr.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Brian of Rockford, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines.
