The Obituary of Mrs. C. E. Passmore
Orilla Viola Quick was born near Vandalia, Iowa on April 30, 1868 and departed this life at her home March 1, 1944 at the age of 75 years and 10 months.
She was united in marriage to Charles E. Passmore. To this union seven sons and five daughters were born.
Her husband, two sons, Russell and Ross and one daughter, Mrs. Anna McKinney, have preceded her in death.
Survivors are five sons, Buel and John of Runnells, Everett and Luther of Des Moines and Frank of Luseland, Canada; four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Gregory of Houston, Tex., Fannie Passmore of Luseland, Canada, Ida Passmore and Mrs. Mollie Oberg of Runnells, and Walter Hayes who has made his home with her since infancy.
Services were held at the Vandalia church conducted by Rev. Emil Bergren of the First Lutheran church of Des Moines. Interment was in the Vandalia cemetery.
