Colfax – Leonard Thomas Owens, 67, a lifelong resident of Colfax, died Sunday, March 30, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
Survivors are three sisters, Hannah (Mrs. Glenn) Duffy and Shirley (Mrs. Edward) Winton, both of Newton, and Winifred (Mrs. Robert) Warrick of Valeria; and a brother, Ray Russell Owens of Alhambra, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Mr. Owens was a member of the Red men Lodge and the Colfax American Legion Post.
The son of Leonard and Edna Woodyard Owens, he was born April 29, 1918 and was a 1938 graduate of Colfax community High School.
