Colfax Resident Has Fatal Attack While Shopping
Colfax (Special) – Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Buckley, 60, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Colfax Methodist church.
The Rev. W. L. Hawn, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in McKeever cemetery.
Bumgardner Funeral home will have charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Buckley died at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Des Moines. She suffered a heart attack while shopping and was rushed to Broadlawns hospital.
Mrs. Buckley is survived by 11 children, Mrs. Delmar Breckenridge of Newton, Mrs. George Christen of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Earl Bell of Colfax, Mrs. Roy Couch of Grinnell, Mrs. Clyde Warrick of Des Moines, Mrs. Duane Polson of Venice, Calif.,
Mrs. Dean Revell of Kellogg; Ralph of Monroe, Arnold of Emporia, Kan., and Lee and Zane at home.
Also surviving are her husband, Ray Buckley; two brothers, Clarence and Donald Wickliff of Newton and three sisters, Mrs. Novlin Lewis, Mrs. Elmer Anderson and Mrs. Charles White, all of Newton; 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The daughter of Marion and Maude Wickliff, Mrs. Buckley was born in Knoxville May 12, 1895.
She was married March 23, 1915 to Ray Buckley at Oswalt. She was educated in Colfax area schools and has been a resident of the Colfax community for the past 46 years.

Buckley Services Held at Colfax
Colfax (Special) – Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Buckley, 60, were held today at the Colfax Methodist church.
The Rev. W. L. Hawn, pastor of the church, officiated and burial was in McKeever cemetery.
Pallbearers, all nephews of Mrs. Buckley, were Wayne and Lee Thurman, William Anderson, Ralph Rethmeier and Donald Jr. and Harold Wickliff.
Miss Mable Kaldenberg and Mrs. Mary Woods, the signers, were accompanied by Mrs. F. B. Evans on the organ.
