Mrs. Viola De Busk who died Aug. 20th inst., at the home of her sister Mrs. Cliff Meader at the Couch mine, was 27 years of age, and leaves a son 7 years old. She was a victim of typho-malarial fever, and was ill only three weeks. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Goodman on the 21st inst., and the remains were interred in Poweshiek cemetery. Deceased was a daughter of Wm. Harris, a pioneer of Poweshiek township, and was also a sister of John Harris of Oswalt, Mrs. Earnest Waltz of Mitchellville, Mrs. D. Longnecker of Oldfield and Lily Harris of Panora.
