Poweshiek Points – Grandma Barker, one of Jasper Co.’s pioneer mothers, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. Dickey, near Greencastle, Monday, the 21st, aged 84 years. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Griffith, of the M. E. Church, at Colfax; her remains were interred at Poweshiek cemetery.
