Mrs. Charles (Mary) Sage Died Dec. 31st
Mrs. Charles (Mary Elizabeth) Sage, 71, died Monday, Dec. 31, at 6:30 p.m. at the Des Moines General Hospital. She had undergone surgery Saturday.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Frank of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Harry of Colfax; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Luther of Mingo; one brother, Sam Sage of Colfax; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The daughter of Samuel and Maude Mary Mindham Sage, she was born June 6, 1902 in Colfax, was a 1922 graduate of Colfax High School and has lived here all her life.
On November 27, 1923, she was united in marriage to Charles Wm. Sage in Newton, Iowa.
Mrs. Sage was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) Jan. 3rd at the Colfax Christian Church. Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the church will conduct the services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery.
Bearers are George Rinker, Paul Jones, R. D. Zwayer, Dave Owens, Frank W. Evans, Charles Stinson, Iden Shissler and Durlyn Lester.
Flower Committee: Mrs. Wanda Thompson, Mrs. George Rinker, Mrs. Frank W. Evans.
