Terry Dean Tiffany, 63, of Altoona died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. A memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Ashton Chapel Cemetery. The family will greet friends following at the Mingo United Methodist Church with a luncheon. Condolences may be left for the family at coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Arthur Earl and Betty Jean (Crabb) Tiffany, Terry was born on April 25, 1949 in Iowa City. He graduated from Mingo High School in 1967. Terry proudly served in the United States Air Force. On May 21, 1977, he was united in marriage to Rita Jo Harter in Mingo. He was a member of the Mingo United Methodist Church and the Mingo American Legion Post 534. One of Terry’s greatest passions was camping.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife Rita of Altoona, his mother, Betty of Mingo, a sister, Glenda (Larry) Barr of Indianola and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death were his father and four brothers, Paul, David “Butch”, Gary, and Keith.
