Laura A. Hoadley De Greef, 67, of 1800 S. 4th Ave. E., a resident of Newton since 1951, died Sunday evening, Nov. 24, at the Skiff Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. Frederick Kramer, chaplain at Skiff medical Center, will conduct services. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are her husband, William “Bill” of Newton; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Harold Hoadley of Dodge City, Kan.; and two sisters, Lillian Spence of Council Bluffs; Hazel Cottrell of Princeton, Mo., and a special friend, Linda Gray of Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Randall K. Hamilton in 1991, a great-grandson in 1988, a brother, Newell Hoadley, and a sister, Muriel Adams.
Mrs. De Greef, a homemaker and waitress, was a member of the Baptist Church in Cainesville, Mo.
The daughter of Merwin and Ollie Hoadley, she was born Jan. 16, 1924 in Cainesville, Mo., and was graduate from Cainesville High School.
She was married to William “Bill” De Greef July 17, 1962 in Princeton, Mo.
