Ethel M. “Bobbie” Sappenfield passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 12 at Iles Funeral Homes – Grandview Park Chapel. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bobbie was born October 1, 1941 in Newton, Iowa. She married Norman D. Sappenfield in 1959. Bobbie retired from Associated Dentists where she was a stranger to no one.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Norman; son, Norman L. Sappenfield (Kay Frye); daughter, Ronda Greenfield (Lonnie); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Laverne Doland; daughter, Patricia Hamilton; and a sister.
Memorial contributions may be directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided later.
