Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church at Grinnell, Ia., for W. E. Taylor. Rev. Wissler of the church there officiated and burial was in Bethel cemetery.
He was a member of the Methodist church of Grinnell.

Wife Suffers Serious Injuries as Car They Were Backing From Driveway to No. 32 is Struck by Another Car
W. E. Taylor, 63, was killed and Mrs. Taylor, 52, suffered severe injuries in an automobile accident which occurred just west of the Grinnell city limits about 10:00 o’clock this morning, according to word received here y Miss Nettie Taylor, a sister of the dead man.
According to the information received, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were backing from the driveway at their home onto highway No. 32 when the accident occurred. As nearly as it could be discovered, they were struck by one of the cars in the traffic.
Mrs. Taylor was taken to the St. Francis hospital in Grinnell, where it was reported that she is suffering with a fractured right shoulder and collar bone and an injury to the right knee. No internal injuries were reported by the hospital to authorities.
Mr. Taylor is a former resident of Jasper county, having resided for many years in Richland township for the majority of his life. A few years ago he moved to Grinnell, living for a short time east of the city and then moving to his present home.
He is survived by his sister, Miss Nettie Taylor of Newton; a brother, G. A. Taylor of Ohio and another brother, Dr. M. E. Taylor of North Dakota; two sons, George, who lives in Marshalltown, and Edward, 16, living at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Mable Knapp of Des Moines and Ellen, 18, who lives at home.
No funeral services have been announced as yet. Miss Taylor is leaving this evening for Grinnell.
