Cora Hannagan, Dies Monday; Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Thomas (Cora) Hannagan, 77, lifelong resident of Newton, died Monday afternoon at the Jasper County Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
Surviving are a son, Orville of Des Moines; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Rubar, St. Louis, Mo., and George Rubar, Cambridge, and four sisters, Mrs. Mae Wilson, Marshalltown, Mrs. Eva Balmer, Des Moines, Junetta Rubar, Waterloo, and Laurella Rubar.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945; a son, Glenn; four daughters, two brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Hannagan was a member of the Salvation Army and the Golden Agers.
The daughter of Charles and Lily Howell Rubar, she was born March 26, 1892, at Cambridge.
She was married to Thomas Franklin (Frank) Hannagan July 24, 1913 at Maryville, Mo.
