Mrs. Martha Neal Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Milo (Martha) Neal, 79, of 302 1st St. North, a lifelong resident of Jasper county, were held Tuesday at the Morgan-Loehr funeral home.
The Rev. Lawrence H. Athey, assistant minister of the First Methodist church conducted the services. Burial was in Newton Union cemetery.
Mrs. Murray Nelson, the soloist, was accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Lois Stanton.
Pallbearers were Verne Appleton, Ed Reuwsaat, Jack Leaming, Delbert Farland, Robert Thorson and Clyde Keller.
Mrs. Neal is survived by four sons, Earl Schrull of Newton, Ernest Schrull of Newton, Delbert Schrull of Wichita, Kan., and O. B. Schrull of Galveston, Tex.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Albert Grimm of Grinnell, two brothers, Ed Hannagan of Davenport and James Hannagan of Newton; a sister, Mrs. Mary Reynolds of Newton; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three daughters, a son, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Neal died at 2:08 p.m. Saturday at the Skiff Memorial hospital.
The daughter of James and Priscilla Logsdon Hannagan, she was born July 15, 1881 in Jasper county.
She was married December 25, 1895 to Irvin Schrull. After Mr. Schrull’s death, she married October 26, 1930 to Milo Neal at Princeton, Mo.
