Edna Sterrenburg Rites Thursday; Dies in Tucson
Colfax – Funeral services for Mrs. George (Edna Eileen) Sterrenburg, 53, of Tucson, Ariz., a resident of Colfax for 25 years before moving to Tucson in 1975, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Jim Pemble, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Carol of Tucson; a granddaughter, Christina; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Gladyce) Miller of Runnells and Mrs. Clyde (Pauline) Busby of Prairie City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roy.
The daughter of Ira and Edna Pearl Fleming Ingle, she was born Dec. 7, 1926 in Runnells.
She was married Sept. 24, 1949.
She died Friday at Tucson.
